Faculty Position at the Institute for Advanced Materials & Nano Biomedicine,

The Institute for Advanced Materials & Nano Biomedicine is an international research laboratory of Tongji University located in Shanghai, China. The research of the Institute is focused on fundamental studies of emerging nanomaterials and their applications in biomedicine, energy, and green technology.
We are seeking exceptionally well qualified candidates for faculty positions at all levels (assistant, associate, and full professors), who are committed to leading interdisciplinary research teams and to networking with medical schools and energy industry. The individual filling this position is expected to develop an internationally recognized research program in the following areas: development of novel nano systems for basic and clinical studies in life and medical sciences including cancer diagnosis and treatment; fundamental studies of nanomaterials in structures, properties, and computer simulations; applications of nanomaterials in tissue engineering, biomedical engineering, and neuroengineering, and research on novel energy materials and green technologies.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph. D. in materials science, polymer science, medical and life sciences, biomedical engineering, and chemistry or closely related fields. They must be able to work effectively in a team environment, must have excellent English oral and written communication skills, and must be able to lead and publish high quality research. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of teaching, publishing high impacting journal articles, and leadership experiences.
This new institute is staffed with several prominent faculty members from overseas. They are currently conducting active research in frontier areas of the world. Therefore, the institute provides an academically stimulating environment for young researchers to quickly get involved in new research topics and connected with the international communities.
