Dreaming of Spring
It’s a dark day. The sky is gray. And the air is
cool. Not much to do. It’s the end of winter.
It’s a gloomy day. The snow is melting away. The
trees have no leaves. Not much to see. It’s the end of winter.
It’s a slow day. The butterflies are away. The animals are inside. Nature is hiding. It’s the end of winter.
It’s a boring day. There are no kids outside at play. My bike and ball are packed. My tent and rope are stacked. It’s the end of winter.
But soon!It will be a bright day. The sun will shine its rays. And the air will warm our hearts. There’ll be lots of games to start. It will be spring.
It will be a happy day. The grass will be green and straight. The trees will get fresh new blooms.
There’ll be lots to do. It will be spring.
It will be a busy day. The butterflies will dance and sway. The animals will be running. Nature will
be stunning. It will be spring.
It will be a fun day. I will ride my bike a long way. I will jump rope with my friends. We will
play outside until the day ends. It will be spring.
I will be very happy. It makes me want to sing. But for now, I can only dream of spring.
