Ⅱ. essay “文章、論文”通常指文學(xué)上散文、隨筆、雜文等;也指學(xué)術(shù)性論文。如：
① We shall read Lu Xun’s essays . 我們將讀魯迅的雜文。
② Can you write an essay in English? 你能用英文寫(xiě)一篇論文嗎?
Ⅲ. composition “寫(xiě)作、作文”。 尤指學(xué)習(xí)語(yǔ)文者為練習(xí)寫(xiě)作而做的作文。如：
① He is learning composition. 他在學(xué)習(xí)寫(xiě)作。
② The students were required to write a composition in English. 要學(xué)生寫(xiě)一篇英語(yǔ)作文。
