武則天，中國(guó)歷的一位女皇帝，于唐朝(the Tang Dynasty )690年稱(chēng)帝。雖然她很殘暴，但是她對(duì)國(guó)家的統(tǒng)治還是比較成功的。她任人唯賢，完全不考慮其家庭地位。通過(guò)獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)積極發(fā)展農(nóng)業(yè)的官員，懲罰對(duì)農(nóng)民課征重稅的官員，武則天極大地促進(jìn)了農(nóng)業(yè)的發(fā)展。中國(guó)的佛教(Buddhism)在她統(tǒng)治期間也發(fā)展到了頂峰。宋慶齡評(píng)價(jià)她為“封建時(shí)代(feudal period)杰出的女政治家”。
