You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2017 in one of the following departments: Archaeology, History, Philosophy, Music, Religion, Theology and the Bible, School of English, School of Languages and Cultures.
The scholarships will be awarded automatically – no application is required in the first or any subsequent years.
The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of study. You can also receive this in each subsequent year of study, subject to achieving 60% or above in the previous academic year. This excludes any years in industry or study abroad periods.
The scholarship can be awarded in conjunction with other University of Sheffield scholarships as long as the individual does not become fully funded, for tuition fee purposes, as a result of the sum of these awards.
The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction only.

7.Advanced Placement Scholarships 2017
We offer three scholarships for those students taking Advanced Placement tests. Each scholarship is worth 50% of the annual undergraduate tuition fee.
Key dates
A link to the online scholarship application will be sent by email to all eligible students from January onwards.
Applicants must have applied for a study place by 14 April 2017.
The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday 21 April 2017.
Scholarship results will be announced Friday 26 May 2017.
2017年大學預修課獎學金
學校為參加大學預修考試的學生提供三項獎學金。每項數(shù)額相當于50%的一年本科學費。
重要日期：

(2)截至2017年4月14日，申請人必須已經(jīng)申請學習名額。

Eligibility and award criteria
Applicants must have taken or be planning to take a minimum of three Advanced Placement tests (AP).
Applicants must have applied for and been offered a study place at the University of Sheffield to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Applicants must apply for a study place by Friday 14 April 2017 for entry in September 2017 to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship will not be available to applicants who have made the University of Sheffield their insurance choice.
The scholarship application is a separate online process to applying for a course. A link to the online scholarship application will be sent by email to all eligible students from January onwards.
The scholarship will be awarded on the the basis of academic merit and the supporting statement. The final decision will be made by an academic panel.
The scholarship is guaranteed in the first year of study and you can also receive this in each subsequent year of study, subject to achieving 60% or above in the previous academic year. This excludes any years in industry or study abroad periods. This applies to all undergraduate programmes except Medicine and Dentistry. Students of Medicine or Dentistry will only receive the scholarship for the non-clinical years (Medicine years 1 & 2 and Dentistry year 1)
The scholarship can be awarded in conjunction with other University of Sheffield scholarships as long as the individual does not become fully funded, for tuition fee purposes, as a result of the sum of these awards.
The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction only.
You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
The scholarship will not be awarded where funding is applicable from an external body* and there is an agreement already in place between the external body and the University of Sheffield to offer a tuition fee discount to the student.
The scholarships are for full-time and part-time students only. Students studying online or via distance learning are not eligible for the scholarships.
Part-time students will receive the full value of a one year of scholarship split pro rata over the duration of an equivalent single full-time academic year.
* Government or governmental organisation – international, national or regional; research council; charity; private enterprise; or any similar organisation.

(6)該獎學金的發(fā)放依據(jù)是學術優(yōu)秀和經(jīng)濟需求(經(jīng)濟陳述)。最終決定由學術評審小組做出。
(7)在第一學年，獎學金將無條件發(fā)放。只要前一學年成績達到60%及以上，就可以在往后的每一學年里拿到該獎學金。企業(yè)實習和海外學習時間不算在內(nèi)。這項規(guī)定適用于所有本科生課程，醫(yī)學和牙醫(yī)學課程除外。醫(yī)學和牙醫(yī)學學術只在非臨床學年才能享受該獎學金。(醫(yī)學的非臨床學年為第一年和第二年，牙醫(yī)學的非臨床學年為第一年。)
(8)出于學費目的，只要學生還需要自己支付學費(即獎學金數(shù)額沒有達到學費總額)，就可以同時享受謝菲爾德大學的其他獎學金。
(9)獎學金只以學費減免的形式提供。
(10)出于學費目的，學生必須為自費生，必須按海外比例支付學費。
