Your tuition can be exempted within the limit of our budget. Eligibility for application, financial situation of your family, and scholastic attainments are considered on the basis of our standards.
在學(xué)校預(yù)算允許范圍內(nèi)學(xué)費(fèi)可獲得免除。 申請(qǐng)資格、家庭經(jīng)濟(jì)情況和入學(xué)成績(jī)都作為考慮標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
Students eligible for exemption of the tuition
學(xué)費(fèi)免除條件
Applicants must satisfy any of the following conditions:
1. A student has difficulty in paying his or her tuition because of a financial reason, and he or she is recognized as an excellent academic achiever.
2. Within one year before a student enters a school,
a.the person who bears school expenses (example: father) has died, or
b.the person who bears school expenses or the student him- or herself has suffered damage from a storm and/or a flood and therefore has extreme difficulty in paying his or her tuition.
3. A student satisfies a condition similar to either of the conditions described above
申請(qǐng)者必須具備以下條件之一：
1. 由于經(jīng)濟(jì)困難無(wú)法支付學(xué)費(fèi)并且學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)優(yōu)秀者。
2. 入學(xué)前1年以內(nèi)發(fā)生了以下狀況：
a.負(fù)擔(dān)學(xué)費(fèi)的親屬(父親等)身亡;或者
b.負(fù)擔(dān)學(xué)費(fèi)的親屬或?qū)W生本人遭受到暴雨洪水等自然災(zāi)害帶來(lái)的經(jīng)濟(jì)損失，因此難以支付學(xué)費(fèi)。
3. 或出現(xiàn)類似上述狀況的學(xué)生

The total sum of the tuition that must be paid or a half of the total sum is exempted.

Process of application
申請(qǐng)手續(xù)
From 2011, tuition fee exemption applications will take place once a year as a general rule to reduce paperwork for applicants and promote efficiency and fairness. Applicants should check notices from their school or graduate school for application procedures.
1. Simultaneous first and second semester applications will start in 2011. If you intend to seek exemptions for both semesters, make sure you apply for both at the same time once a year.
2. The following persons may submit a separate application for the second semester at a later date:
a.Returning or transfer students and new students entering Nagoya University in October 2011.
b.Students who have undergone a sudden change in family situation after the main application period has closed.*
3. Students planning a leave of absence during the second semester may apply for a first semester-only exemption.
4. Under the new system, applications will be received once a year but will continue to be evaluated twice a year for the first and second semesters with separate results.
"Sudden change in family situation" refers to the following:
a.Forced retirement or loss of employment due to bankruptcy, downsizing, or illness that has b.caused the income of the main provider of the family to drop significantly.
c.The main provider of the family has died or become estranged.
d.The main provider of the family has declared bankruptcy.
e.The household has suffered a major disaster such as a fire, or wind or flood damage, requiring relief equivalent to that provided under the Disaster Relief Act, and resulting in a steep rise in household expenditure or drop in revenue.
f.Entirely unavoidable circumstances, such as political upheaval and natural disasters causing politically unstable situations, or total cuts in national funding.
Note: Sudden changes in family situation do not include loss of income due to personal circumstances, loss of a scholarship, etc.
5. First-grade students of an undergraduate school and second-grade students of an undergraduate school in the first semester (excluding transfer students): Student Welfare Division,Student Affairs Department
Second-grade students of an undergraduate school in the second semester, third-grade and higher-grade students of an undergraduate school, and all students of a graduate school: Office of each department or course
6. Standard schedule of distribution of "Application Guidelines for Exemption of Tuition"
First semester: From the middle of January
Second semester: From the middle of July
為減輕申請(qǐng)人辦理申請(qǐng)手續(xù)的負(fù)擔(dān)以及為提高辦公效率和促進(jìn)手續(xù)的合理化，從2011年開始，學(xué)費(fèi)減免申請(qǐng)?jiān)瓌t上為一年申請(qǐng)一次。 申請(qǐng)人應(yīng)留意其所在學(xué)部和研究科的公告通知，并據(jù)此辦理申請(qǐng)手續(xù)。
1. 第一學(xué)期和第二學(xué)期同時(shí)申請(qǐng)將從2011年開始。 如果想要申請(qǐng)兩個(gè)學(xué)期的減免，確保在每年一次的相同時(shí)間進(jìn)行申請(qǐng)。
2. 以下人員可在稍晚時(shí)間提交第二學(xué)期的單獨(dú)申請(qǐng)：
a.2011年10月復(fù)學(xué)或編入或入讀名古屋大學(xué)的新生。
b.主申請(qǐng)日期截止后家庭經(jīng)濟(jì)突發(fā)變故的學(xué)生。*
3. 計(jì)劃在第二學(xué)期休學(xué)的學(xué)生可以只申請(qǐng)第一學(xué)期的學(xué)費(fèi)減免。
4. 根據(jù)新的體制，申請(qǐng)將為一年一次，但每年將對(duì)第一學(xué)期和第二學(xué)期分兩次進(jìn)行審查，并分別做出批準(zhǔn)與否的決定。
“家庭經(jīng)濟(jì)突發(fā)變故”是指以下情況：
a.家庭的主要經(jīng)濟(jì)支柱因公司破產(chǎn)、解雇或疾病等原因從業(yè)困難并因此失業(yè)或被迫辭職，家庭收入大幅減少。
b.家庭的主要經(jīng)濟(jì)支柱死亡或離異。
c.家庭的主要經(jīng)濟(jì)支柱破產(chǎn)。
d.因遭受火災(zāi)、風(fēng)災(zāi)或水災(zāi)等災(zāi)害救助法規(guī)定的重大災(zāi)害或同等程度的嚴(yán)重災(zāi)害，致使家庭e.開支大幅增加或收入減少。
f.本國(guó)因動(dòng)亂或自然災(zāi)害導(dǎo)致政局不穩(wěn)，來(lái)自本國(guó)的資助全部中斷等真正迫不得已的情況。
注意：因自身原因收入減少或不能繼續(xù)領(lǐng)取獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金等情況，不能被認(rèn)定為家庭經(jīng)濟(jì)突發(fā)變故。
5. 學(xué)部一年級(jí)新生和二年級(jí)第一學(xué)期學(xué)生(不包括編入學(xué)生)：學(xué)務(wù)部學(xué)生綜合支援課
學(xué)部二年級(jí)第二學(xué)期、三年級(jí)以上、研究科學(xué)生：各科系或課程的辦公室
6. 《學(xué)費(fèi)免除申請(qǐng)要領(lǐng)》發(fā)放的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日期
第一學(xué)期：從1月中旬開始
第二學(xué)期：從7月中旬開始
