Brought Up in a Happy Family
I'm the only child in my family, the apple of my parents' eyes. My mother and father take goodcare of my and give me a lot of support throughout my life.
My father is the manager of a company and my mother is a teacher. They are both welleducated and do well in their jobs. They know that knowledge is power. Father oftencommunicates with foreign friends and is good at English. I can learn a lot from him, especiallyEnglish. His oninion on education is as advanced as that of my mother's. They often give meadvice on my studies but never interfere in them. They seldom force me to do what I don't liketo. They permit me to have different opinions. If something is good for me, they will persuademe to do it as they want. Many people of our age say that there is a generation gap betweentheir parents and them. However, it doesn't exist between us.
My mother is a math teacher. She is very clever and good at teaching. She can work out aproblem within 10 minutes which would cost me 2 hours. I envy and admire her. I want to be amath teacher like her.
I'm lucky to have such enlightened parents. I'm lucky to have been brought up in such ahappy family.

我是家里的獨生子，父母的掌上明珠。媽媽和爸爸在生活上給了我細心的照顧與支持。
我爸爸是一家公司的經(jīng)理，媽媽是一名教師。他們都受過良好的教育，并且在工作中很出色。他們盡最大的努力給我最好的教育。他們都知道知識就是力量。爸爸經(jīng)常與外國朋友打交道，因此擅長英語。我能從他那里學到很多，特別是英語。他的教育觀念跟媽媽的一樣先進。他們經(jīng)常給我的學習提意見，但從不干涉。他們很少強迫我做不喜歡的事情。他們允許我有不同的意見。如果真有什么對我有益的事，他們會勸服我去做。許多同齡人都說父母和他們之間有代溝。然而，我們之間卻并不存在代溝。
我媽媽是一名數(shù)學老師。她很聰明，擅長教學。有時候我花2個小時才能做完的題，她10分鐘就能解決。我真是又羨慕又佩服她。我想成為像她那樣的數(shù)學老師。
