Last Spring Festival, my dad and mom went to my grandmother's house in Beijing to celebrate the New Year.
As soon as I entered the gate of the courtyard, I saw my little nephew waving at me in tiger shoes and a tiger hat. Entering the house, I saw my grandparents making dumplings, so my little nephew and I ran to the yard to play hide and seek. "Dinner's ready!" Grandma shouted loudly. My little nephew and I rushed into the house at a fast pace, and when everyone was seated, my grandmother smiled and said, "Today I put a coin in one of the dumplings. Whoever eats the dumpling with the coin inside will definitely have good financial luck and a successful career the next year!" After listening to my grandmother's words, everyone began to discuss, Dad said, "I must eat dumplings with coins in them, my financial luck is rolling!" My nephew and I said in unison, "I must eat dumplings with coins in them, and I will make progress in my studies the next year!" So we all started eating. When the dumplings were brought to the table, I was almost full of food. My nephew and I both wanted to eat dumplings with coins in them. We ate a few dumplings in a row, but still couldn't eat them. We couldn't hold on anymore. My little nephew and I reluctantly went to play computer games. Dad is still persevering, and grandma saw his wolfing down and said with a smile, "Actually, I didn't put any coins, I just hope your work goes smoothly!" Hearing this, the whole family laughed happily.
On the way back to Shanghai, I was still immersed in the joy and happiness of the Chinese New Year holiday.
