There is every reason to believe the trend will continue through the next fewdecades.
四級詞匯講解:
there is every reason to do sth.意為“有充分的理由做某事”，與have every reason for/to do sth.相近。如:I have every reason to stay in my own house.我有充分的理由待在我自己的房子里。decade意為“十年，十年間”，而表示“數(shù)十年”可用其復數(shù)形式decades。
英語四級考點歸納：
聽力考試中類似decade的數(shù)詞還有:dozen(一打，12個)，score ( 20 ) ,這兩個詞在用法上有相似性。
※ dozen和score的前面有數(shù)詞修飾時，一般不用復數(shù)。如:
1) three dozen eggs三打雞蛋
2) They bought two score bottles of the beer.他們買了40瓶啤酒。
※ 當dozen和score表示“許多，大量”等數(shù)量上的泛指時，要用復數(shù)形式，即dozens/scores of。如:
dozens of times幾十次 scores of years ago許多年前
※ 與a few, some, several, many等表示不確定數(shù)量的詞連用時，dozen和scare常用復數(shù)形式，且后面要加of。如:
some dozens of people幾十個人 many scores of cattle許多家畜
※ 若修飾代詞或有the , these , those等限定詞時，dozen和Scare之后要加介詞of。如:
a dozen of these oranges一打橙子 four score of them他們中的80個
