Ⅰ. lift “舉起、提起、抬起”常常表舉(提、抬)起某物時(shí)需要費(fèi)些力氣。如：
① This is too heavy for me to lift. 這太重了，我舉不起。
② He lifted a pail of water from the ground. 他把一桶水從地上提了起來。
Ⅱ. raise “舉起、抬起”著重指使某物豎立起來。如：
① Those who are ready, please raise your hand. 準(zhǔn)備好的人，請舉手。
② He raised his head. 他抬起了頭。
