World Humanitarian Day
Geneva hosted the annual World Humanitarian Day on Aug 19, which aims to honor the legacy of humanitarian personnel and to encourage work to *tackle global crises. The day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly to coincide with the anniversary of the bombing of the UN’s headquarters in Baghdad in 2003. This year’s theme is “One Humanity”, which gives particular focus to young people affected by struggles worldwide.
8月19日，日內(nèi)瓦舉行一年一度的世界人道主義日活動(dòng)，旨在致敬人道主義精神，鼓勵(lì)解決全球危機(jī)。2003年，聯(lián)合國(guó)駐巴格達(dá)辦事處遭炸彈襲擊，為了紀(jì)念這一天，聯(lián)合國(guó)大會(huì)設(shè)立了人道主義日。今年的主題是One Humanity(同一人類)，特別關(guān)注當(dāng)今世界飽受磨難的青年人。
