高考英語詞匯詳解：find的用法
1. 用作及物動詞，主要用于下列句型：
后接名詞或代詞。如：
Where did you find it? 你是在什么地方找到它的?
You’d better try and find another job. 你設(shè)法另找一份工作。
You’ll find the answers at the back of the book. 在書后你可找到答案。
后接復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu) 。如：
Wefind the story very interesting. 我們發(fā)現(xiàn)這個(gè)故事很有趣。
I found the boy hiding behind the door. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)這個(gè)小男孩躲在門后。
He found the city much changed. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)這個(gè)城市發(fā)生了巨大的變化。
I didn’t find her an easy woman to workwith. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)她不好共事。
注意：后接不定式的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)時(shí)，主要是 to be, 偶爾可見 to do型。另外有時(shí)也接帶先行詞 it 的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)。如：
He found it hard tofinish the work in time. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)要及時(shí)完成這項(xiàng)工作很困難。
后接that-從句。如：
Now he found that he could relax a little. 現(xiàn)在他發(fā)現(xiàn)可以放松一下了。
Newton found that all masses attract each other. 牛頓發(fā)現(xiàn)所有物質(zhì)都互相吸引。
He found that she was a cheat. =He foundher to be a cheat. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)她是個(gè)騙子。
可以帶雙賓語，雙賓語交換位置時(shí)用介詞for。如：
Please find memy key. =Please find my key for me. 請給我找到我的鑰匙。
試比較。如：
We found him a good teacher. 我們發(fā)現(xiàn)他是位好老師 。
We found him a good job. 我們?yōu)樗伊朔莺霉ぷ?。
2. 用于find oneself, 表示“發(fā)現(xiàn)自己 ”或“不知不覺或突然…”。如：
Suddenly I found myself face to face withthe man. 突然我發(fā)現(xiàn)自己面對面跟這個(gè)人站在一起。
He returnedto England to find himself famous. 他回到英國，發(fā)現(xiàn)自己竟出了名。
3. 注意區(qū)別 find 與find out：前者指偶然地“發(fā)現(xiàn)”、或通過實(shí)驗(yàn)而“發(fā)現(xiàn)”、或通過尋找而“找到”等 ;而后者則指通過調(diào)查或觀察詢問等而“查明情況或事實(shí)真相” 。如：
We mustfind out the truth of the matter. 我們必須查明事實(shí)真相。
Wemust find out where he lives. 我們必須查明他住在什么地方。
有時(shí)find out中的out可以省略。如：
Please find what timethey are coming. 請了解一下他們什么時(shí)候來。
4. 是終止性動詞，一般不與一段時(shí)間連用。如：
正：I found it a long time ago. 這個(gè)東西我找到很久了。
誤：I found it for a long time.
