其實(shí)，通知和書信的本質(zhì)是一樣的，首先，需要大家注意的是通知的格式。通知的格式包括三部分：標(biāo)題、征文、簽名。標(biāo)題需要在第一行居中位置寫Notice，注意首字母N大寫;正文每行縮進(jìn)四個字母，分兩段或三段;簽名按題目要求，讓我們簽誰就簽誰，以2016考研英語(一)這個通知為例，結(jié)尾簽名應(yīng)為：Li Ming。其次，大家需要列出正文部分的提綱，無論是通知還是書信，面對應(yīng)用文，我們應(yīng)該從實(shí)際生活出發(fā)，思考在真實(shí)條件下我們應(yīng)該寫哪些內(nèi)容，把想到的都列舉出來，之后再用英文組織成合法的語句和篇章。
因此，按照應(yīng)用文開門見山的寫作特點(diǎn)和通知信息倒三角分布的特征，我們可以列提綱如下：
1. 首段首句表明寫作意圖;
2. 向外國學(xué)生介紹圖書館情況，例如：每天開閉關(guān)時間;在哪里辦理圖書卡;借書的須知;圖書管的基本設(shè)施等等。此外，既然通知的對象是新入學(xué)的外國留學(xué)生，也可代表校方或圖書管向其表達(dá)問候;

This notice is to introduce briefly the library on our campus to those international students who are newly enrolled. The following points is supposed to arouse the attention of new overseas students. More importantly, each foreign student need apply for an entrance card to the library in the International Students Office in our university.
