I agree that children should learn practical skills along with academic subjects for two reasons. The first reason is that practical skills are such a big part ofeveryone’s life. People only work for 8-12 hours a day. After that, they have to go home and still take care of themselves so, if they don’t have any practical skill, they will never be able to survive on their own.
The second reason is that it can make someone’s life more interesting. If the only skills someone has is related to their job, life can get pretty boring reallyquickly. However, if you’re constantly trying to learn new things to do with your time, you grow as a person and become more impressive in the eyes of your peers.
That’s why I think that children should be required to learn practical skills.
