It was Sunday. I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime. Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside. 'What a day!' I thought. 'It's raining again.' Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy. 'I've just arrived by train,' she said. 'I'm coming to see you.'
'But I'm still having breakfast,' I said.
'What are you doing?' she asked.
'I'm having breakfast,' I repeated.
'Dear me,' she said. 'Do you always get up so late? It's one o'clock!'

until和till區(qū)別
用作介詞或連詞，意為“直到(……為止”，兩者?？蓳Q用，只是 until 比 till 稍正式，所以在正式文體中，一般用 until，而在口語或非正式文體中則兩者都可用。從其后所接成分來看，till多與名詞或較短的從句連用，而較長較復(fù)雜的成分多用 until，位于句首時也多用 until。
兩者在用法上應(yīng)注意以下幾點：
(1)相關(guān)主句謂語必須是持續(xù)性動詞，若是終止性動詞，則應(yīng)為否定式(因為終止性動詞一旦被否定就成為狀態(tài)，便可持續(xù))。如：
We waited until [till] he came. 我們一直等到他來。
We didn’t leave until [till] he came. 直到他來我們才走。
(2)引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句時，其謂語要用現(xiàn)在時表示將來意義。如：
I won’t leave until he comes back tomorrow。我要等他明天回來再走。
(3)有時其后可跟副詞、介詞短語或從句等。如：
He has been ill until recently. 他最近一直生病。
She didn’t return until after twelve o’clock。直到 12 點過后她才回來。
They didn’t reach the station until after the train had left。直到火車開走之后，他們才到達車站。
