This programme is for students in theirpenultimate year of university study, or second year of graduate study.

To be considered for a placement, you will:
Act with integrity, in keeping with HSBC'svalues
Have outstanding interpersonal skills, even when under pressure
Have strong commercial acumen and a flair for problem solving
Be self-motivated, confident and articulate
Successfully go through all relevant assessments
What to expect
You'll complete a eight-week placement,where you'll contribute to a live project or a number of transactions, workingwith products and services experts across our international network. There willalso be regular business and social events for you to attend in order to beginbuilding a network of contacts.
Learning, development and support
The programme is composed of induction, tailor-madeclass-room training and placement. You'll join your placement team, whereyou'll receive a combination of practical experience and classroom training,and learn how our people tailor these to provide customers withsolutions.You'll also be assigned a mentor and paired with a buddy during the 8weeks' programme to enrich your experience.
