    ChinaSF is a partnership between the San Francisco Mayor’s Office and the San Francisco
    Center for Economic Development and the premiere organization in the Bay Area connecting
    Chinese and San Francisco-based business opportunities. ChinaSF’s goal is to firmly secure the
    prosperity of San Francisco’s current and future economy by establishing San Francisco as the
    primary gateway for trade with China into and out of North America.
    Founded in 2008, ChinaSF is comprehensive international business recruitment, expansion, and
    retention initiative designed to bring investment and North American headquarters of Chinese
    companies to San Francisco.
    As cross-sector collaboration, ChinaSF benefits from the leadership and network of government
    while leveraging industry and trade expertise via its private sector Board member executives.
    With offices in San Francisco, Shanghai and Beijing, ChinaSF has grown quickly and achieved
    tangible success assisting a growing list of Chinese companies in their North American

    Qualifications:
     College student or recent graduate interested in Chinese and U.S. economic relations
     Detail-oriented and organized
     Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
     Outstanding writing and communication skills
     Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
     Ability to undertake and complete multiple projects
     Ability to work efficiently and diligently under pressure
     Fluent and literate in Chinese and English

    Program Assistant General Responsibilities:
     Attending and contributing to meetings with US and Chinese governments, commerce
    platforms, board members, and Chinese companies looking to expand in San Francisco
     Provide assistance in expanding relationships with Beijing based firms in the cleantech,
    biotech, digital media, IT, banking, and retail sectors
     Translations (EN-CN, CN-EN)
     Interface directly with leadership from the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, including participation
    in bi-annual China trips by SF government leadership
     Creating/tracking down reports on key SF industries in China
     Researching and attending industry functions, networking events
     Event planning and assistance with administrative tasks
     Tracking Central Government and Beijing Municipal Government comments, developments,
    and initiatives in sectors of interest
     Researching and helping establish a network of Chinese government and government-affiliated
    organizations and initiatives that will be key for ChinaSF’s work in Beijing
     Creating general economic reports on nearby 2nd-tier cities (e.g. Tianjin, Dalian)
     Continually updating ‘lead’ list and contact database
    Specialized intern positions available:
    (Tasks and responsibilities may be adjusted according to intern’s interests.)
     Marketing & Content management (online media, web design/management, graphic
    design, marketing material design and composition)
     Market/business research
     Program Assistant
