Job Title
Media Software Engineer
Description：
You will be working on the latest media technology by designing and developing video encoding driver for a family of Intel integrated graphics products. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Design and develop advanced video encoding algorithms and driver in assembly language / C, debug their functionalities, analyze and optimize kernel/driver performance on simulators and silicon.
- Interact with other teams (architecture, hardware design, hardware simulation, and validation teams) in all product life cycles and deliver advanced video encoding kernels.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- A self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team across multiple sites
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Education: M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Experience/Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in assembly language and C/C developments and optimizations of video encoders such as AVC/h.264, Mpeg-2, Mpeg-4, BRC, etc.
- At least 2 years of experience in driver development
- At least 2 years of experience with the architecture and instruction set of one or more processors (DSP, CPU, MCU, etc)
- Good understanding of video encoding algorithms.
Preferred Requirements:
Education: Master/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Experience/Skills:
- 5 years of experience in software development and optimization in various assembly languages and C/C for video encoding algorithms such as AVC/h.264, Mpeg-2, BRC, etc.
- 5 years of experience in development on multiple DSP, CPU, MCU, etc. Strong understanding of multithreaded, SIMD and other parallel processing environment.
- Strong understanding of video encoding algorithms.
- Strong understanding of how the algorithms, software and processor architectures are interrelated.
