小學英語語法：英語中的五種短語動詞

英語中有一些動詞常與其他的單詞配合使用，形成固定的搭配，這種固定搭配就是“短語動詞”。在實際的使用過程中，我們應把短語動詞當成整體。

    動詞+副詞+介詞
    catch up with 趕上
    get on with 與...相處
    keep up with 跟上
    do away with 廢除
    look down upon 輕視
    look forward to 期待
    keep away with 脫離
    go on with 繼續(xù)
    動詞+名詞+介詞
    catch hold of 抓住
    give lessons to 給...上課
    make friends with 與...交朋友
    take care of 照料
    動詞+形容詞+介詞
    be fond of 愛好
    be familiar with 熟悉
    be suitable for 適合于
    be late for 遲到
    be good at 擅長于
    be afraid of 害怕
    “動詞+副詞”這類短語動詞較容易出錯。這類短語動詞的賓語若是名詞，這個賓語可在短語的中間，亦可在短語的后面。如：Turn the light on. 或 Turn on the light. 賓語若是代詞，這個賓語只能放在短語的中間。如：Turn it on.
