    〔那個調(diào)皮的男孩手里聚了一把石塊,并把石塊往湖里扔?!?BR>    He gave me nothing except for a handful of books.〔除了少量的幾本書他什么也沒給我?!?BR>    注意:一般來說,-ful是一個形容詞后綴,加在名詞后面可以構(gòu)成形容詞,比如:careful,helpful,useful,hopeful等等。而在handful這個單詞中,-ful是一個名詞后綴,加在某些名詞的后面,表示“充滿…所需的量”,比如:roomful,basketful,mouthful,spoonful等等。
