    PART 3 - The Lesson
    TALKING ABOUT OUR HEALTH
    1. GREETINGS ENQUIRIES ABOUT HEALTH
    Hullo! How're you?
    How're you?
    Hullo, how're you? -Fine!
    How're you? _ Not bad
    How're you?
    - Not the best,actually.
    2. FINDING OUT WHAT'S WRONG
    JOHN:
    How're you?
    BARBARA:
    Not the best, actually.
    HOHN:
    Oh? What's the matter?
    BARBARA:
I've got a bit of cold.
    3. COMMENTING ON SOMEONE'S HEALTH/APPEARANCE
    BARBARA:
I've got a bit of cold.
    JOHN:
Mmm.. you don't look a hundred percent.
    JOHN:
Hullo. Barbara. You don't lool the best. What's wrong?
    BARBARA:
    I've got a bad back, I'm afraid.
    JOHN:
That's too bad. Perhaps you should see the doctor.
    4. ENQUIRIES ABOUT A SICK PERSON 問(wèn)候病人
    How're you today?
    I'm feeling better.
    How're you getting on?
I still feel a bit off colour.
    Are you feeling better now?
    Yes, a bit.
    5. TALKINGOF OUR AILMENTS
    I've got 病名.例如:
    I've got a headache/a sore throat.
    ●我們可以說(shuō) I've got a toothache,也可以說(shuō) I've got toothache, 可以說(shuō)I've got an earach,也可以說(shuō) I've got earache,但只能說(shuō) I've got a headache,只能說(shuō) I've got a stomache-ache,最后兩句一定要用冠詞.
    ●The flu 是influenza 的簡(jiǎn)略說(shuō)法. I've got influenza.
    ●我們說(shuō) I've got a bit of a cold, 意思是感冒不利害,然而有時(shí)我們故意用a bit 這個(gè)短語(yǔ)把嚴(yán)重的情況說(shuō)得不那么嚴(yán)重.例如:
    JOHN:
You look awful! Are you O.K.?
    BARBARA:
No, I'm not. I'm a bit off colour!
    JOHN:
    What's the matter?
    BARBARA:
I've got a headache and an earache. And a sore throat and a bit of a cough.
    JOHN:
You certainly are a bit off colour!
