One’s lips are sealed實際上是一個短小的句子，從字面上看，它的意思是“某人的嘴唇是封閉著的”， 這就很形象的表明“某人的嘴已經(jīng)不能說話”，當(dāng)然就暗示有“保守秘密”的意思了。If we say that someone’s lips are sealed, we used to say that he or she will not tell anyone about a secret. For example:

注意，因為每一個人都有兩片嘴唇，所以片語中的lips一般都用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
