Get something over或get something over with是‘把不愉快但不得不做的事了結(jié)’；要加強(qiáng)語氣，可說get something over and done with，例如：I want to get this donkey work over (and done with) as quickly as possible（我想把這單調(diào)的苦差盡快做完）。Donkey work直譯是‘驢子的工作’，一般指枯燥的差事。Legal translation is donkey work即‘法律翻譯是沉悶的苦差事’。
