本部分是信托業(yè)考試改革后的新題型，與以往的句子改錯(Error Identification)相比，難易程度有不小的變化。

Part 7: 語篇閱讀 (Reading Comprehension)
改革前的托業(yè)考試閱讀理解部分的題量為40題，將會分布在13-16個語篇中，全部為單語篇閱讀。因此原先的考察點在于短時間、多信息下考生有效閱讀，獲取對應(yīng)信息的能力。改革后的新托業(yè)考試閱讀題量進(jìn)一步增大，同時閱讀類型也細(xì)化為兩大類：單語篇閱讀（28題）+雙語篇比較閱讀（20題）。閱讀語篇的數(shù)量因此進(jìn)一步加大到15-18個語篇。如果仍然采用傳統(tǒng)的閱讀方法，將會導(dǎo)致長時間高強度閱讀的信息冗余與效率低下。
下面重點分析一下雙語篇比較閱讀，既然是雙語篇必然會考察的是兩個語篇之間的相互關(guān)系，不過從例文不難看出，兩篇文章還是有主次分別的。因此對于重要語篇要重點閱讀，次要語篇快速掃讀，合理分配閱讀重點。根據(jù)每組文章5道題的原則，重點文章大約涵蓋3道題，次要文章涵蓋2道題。這對于考生解題有著非常重要的意義，如果你發(fā)現(xiàn)所有的答案的信息都來自于同一個語篇——一定是出現(xiàn)了問題。例如，
有一道題問What is Simon Jenkins offering?其實如果掃視了第一語篇的人名之后你必然清楚的知道Simon Jenkins所提供的就是第二個語篇，讀完語篇二的第一句話的主要結(jié)構(gòu)The bearer is entitled to ---- off the price。關(guān)鍵詞就是off the price——很明確的指向了正確答案discount。
在托業(yè)閱讀中，如何能夠快速指向?qū)?yīng)的信息點呢？尋找題干中的線索詞然后去語篇中尋找對應(yīng)點。為了鍛煉這項能力，筆者分享一個小竅門，在平時自己進(jìn)行閱讀的時候，讀完一段養(yǎng)成一個習(xí)慣：問問自己這一段的主要含義是什么呢？然后回頭去驗證一下。長此以往，你會養(yǎng)成抓住主要信息，而忽略次要信息的意識——這對于托業(yè)閱讀的提高來說是至關(guān)重要的。

從以往考察的難度和現(xiàn)在給出的樣題來看，新托業(yè)考試的難度確實上升了，突出體現(xiàn)在閱讀量的加大和聽力強度增強。但是，在反映考生的英語能力上，卻更加公正和客觀了。筆者在這里建議考生在參加考試之前，能夠抽出1-2個月左右的時間來系統(tǒng)的進(jìn)行復(fù)習(xí)，利用這個機會把自己的英語基礎(chǔ)認(rèn)真加強一遍，為未來的職業(yè)發(fā)展鋪平道路。
