ought to, indicating obligation,表示責(zé)任和義務(wù)。例如：We ought to start at once.我們應(yīng)該馬上動(dòng)身。Such things ought not to be allowed.這類(lèi)事情不該容許。
ought to, also indicating advice or recommendation.表示勸告或推薦的意思。例如：You ought to improve your English before going to work in American.你應(yīng)該把英語(yǔ)學(xué)好些再去美國(guó)工作。
ought to也表示推測(cè)性的結(jié)論。例如：If he start at nine, he ought to be here by now.要是他九點(diǎn)出發(fā)，現(xiàn)在該到這兒了。
