It is 11：45 P.M. now and my wife is just back from a wedding banquet. Today has been a tough day for me. My son， Godfrey， was suffering from a fever early in the morning. Originally， we planned to take him with us to attend the show of our daughter's ballet class. We changed our plan， of course. My wife went to the show while I took my son to see the doctor. As my domestic helper was on holiday today， I had to take him to the doctor alone.
Since Godfrey is only two years old， he is not allowed to take the front seat according to traffic law. So I seated him behind me. Of course I helped him to fasten the seat-belt first before I went to start the car. On the way I had to look back from time to time to check whether he was properly seated. It was lucky that he did not move much. Perhaps it was the effect of the fever. The doctor said his throat had got a little inflammation. But a little inflammation could cause quite high temperature in my son. It has been so ever since his birth. As a matter of fact， he is not a strong boy.
Normally， a new-born baby does not have illness during the first six months because it has got antibodies from its mother. My son， however， did not stop seeing doctors during the first six months. Normally， parents do not have to feed their babies in the middle of the night right after their babies are one to two months old. My wife and I， however， had to wake up twice in the middle of the night （wintertime mostly） to feed Godfrey until he was about one year old. It has not been easy taking care of this little boy but we love him very much.
As my wife had to attend her friend's wedding banquet， so I was left alone again taking care of my daughter and my son during dinner time before my domestic helper came back. Maybe you don't believe it-I am quite a good hand at baby-sitting.
One of you suggested that we have a party at my home. But I don't think my flat is big enough to hold you all. I think the Geography Room is a much better place.
