Interviewer: Ok, we've gone out on location today. We've come to the other Smash Hits studios in the UK, because I needed to catch up with my mate Samantha Mumba. And she's here!
    Samantha: Hello!
Interviewer: Hi baby, how 1)ya doing?
    Samantha: Not too bad.
Interviewer: Good, we're in the studio, this tiny little studio at the moment, and Samantha is virtually sitting on my knee. So if I slide off and go speechless and start 2)slobbering everywhere, please forgive me, Samantha.
    Samantha: Alright.
Interviewer: Now the last time we spoke, was when you released Body II Body.
    Samantha: Yeah……
Interviewer: Which did fantastically well, didn't it?
Samantha: Not bad, not bad at all.
Interviewer: Were you happy with the result of that?
Samantha: I was chiffed with the result of that.
    Interviewer: Yeah?
    Samantha: Definitely was up, yeah.
Interviewer: What've you been doing since then though…… 'cuz……
Samantha: I've been in America mainly. I've been back and forth from America a lot. I'm just back today……
Interviewer: Have you been doing promoting over there?
    Samantha: Yeah, yeah.
Interviewer: You find it really hard work, America?
Samantha: Well, it's a lot easier than I thought, because it's done really well without me really having to be there, 'cuz everything is ruled by radio in America, isn't it? So I didn't have to be there for a lot of it, if you know what I mean.
    Interviewer: Yeah, yeah.
Samantha: So no, I've been lucky with America. Definitely so.
Interviewer: Cool, that's really good. 'Cuz I was watching a program with Robbie Williams, and he was trying…… I mean, Robbie Williams is massive, isn't he? And he's like one of the biggest pop stars in the world. But he was trying to conquer America, and it was so difficult. He was playing these venues that were tiny little back street places.
    Samantha: That's mad. That's mad.
Interviewer: Isn't it just, it's unbelievable? Have you yet to do all that yourself?
    Samantha: No.
    Interviewer: Wow-how!
    Samantha: That's just……
Interviewer: If Robbie's listening to this, you have to just let out. "You jamming hits!"
Samantha: No, it hasn't been like that at all. The radio just took to it completely. And when I've gone over, I've done a lot of radio 4)kinda shows all over America, but no, I haven't had to do the little dodgey little seedy shows.
Interviewer: Fantastic, that's really cool, isn't it?
    Samantha: It's very cool.
Interviewer: What's the result? You spend a lot of time at home?
Samantha: No, well, I mean I was home over Christmas. But I went away for a few weeks on holidays as well, so……
    Interviewer: Nice, where'd you go?
    Samantha: Yeah, Fort de Ventura.
Interviewer: Is that a girlie holiday, a family holiday, or a coupley holiday?
Samantha: Ah, just, no, just a friend's holiday.
    Interviewer: That was it.
    Samantha: Yeah.
Interviewer: Cool. How's the…… what's going on relationship wise? Weren't you involved in Sony's West Life? For a while or what was that?
    Samantha: No.
Interviewer: That was a, that was a 5)rumor?
Samantha: The rumors that go around are actually quite funny. No, I'm not…… I was with Kian which is absolute crap…… I really was never with him.
    Interviewer: Really?
    Samantha: Really. Hand on heart.
    Interviewer: Friends of yours?
Samantha: Oh yeah, yeah, I've known him for like a few years now. But no, never anything romantic.
    Interviewer: No?
    Samantha: At all.
Interviewer: What'd you think of Bryan and Kerry?
    Samantha: No comment.
    Interviewer: Really?
    Samantha: Yeah.
    Interviewer: Hahaha!
Samantha: Why? What'd you think of them?
Interviewer: I think it's really cool. I mean, I know Kerry quite well. I got to know Bryan reasonably well through Kerry because we met up on the Smash Hits tour and stuff, and I saw Bryan quite a lot. Obviously, they were together quite a lot.
    Samantha: Yeah.
Interviewer: If they're in love, then absolutely fine. If they stay together, fantastic. I really hope they do.
    Samantha: Yeah.
    Interviewer: For their sake.
Samantha: And yeah, they both have got really good personalities though, they're both good people.
Interviewer: But you've got to think, they've got strong personalities. They're both fiery people, you know, and it can be a bad thing at times, can't it?
    Samantha: Yeah.
Interviewer: So, what…… so are you in a relationship at the moment? You……
Samantha: Not at the moment, no.
    Interviewer: You're a single girl!
    Samantha: I'm single!
Interviewer: That's got me even more excited sitting in the studio right next to you. So do you enjoy doing the live stuff?
Samantha: Oh yeah, definitely, definitely. I mean, You definitely get more of a buzz 6)outta that.
Interviewer: Brilliant to speak to you again.
    Samantha: You too.
Interviewer: You take care of yourself. All this traveling you're going to be doing, baby, just be careful.
    Samantha: Oh stop, I will.
Interviewer: And the next time we speak, I'm going to make sure we're in here again, so you have to sit on my knee.
    Samantha: Ok.
Interviewer: Love it! Thanks for your time, Samantha. You take care.
    Samantha: Cheers.
