to go through hell or high water 是指不管有多大的困難，有多少危險(xiǎn)，仍然勇往直前。這個(gè)俗語使人們腦海里呈現(xiàn)出一個(gè)在必要的時(shí)候能夠赴湯蹈火的人的形象。它比 go all out 的語氣要強(qiáng)烈得多。
