    armed to teeth
    講解:詞語盛行于19世紀(jì)以后,但卻出自于15世紀(jì)-16世紀(jì),海盜活動猖獗的時候。相傳海盜面目猙獰,手持兇器,牙齒間還咬著一把把尖刀。為形象生動,漢語中把它翻譯為“武裝到牙齒”,喻指全副武裝。
