《新唐書》是記傳體斷代史書，“二十四史”之一，由北宋的宋歐陽(yáng)修等人編撰，于嘉祐五年(1060年)成書，共二百二十五卷?！缎绿茣酚涊d了唐代約290年的歷史，其中關(guān)于《甲子元?dú)v》、《大衍歷》等多種歷法的記載，是研究中國(guó)歷法史的寶貴資料，是研究唐代長(zhǎng)安的基本書籍之一。

History of the Later Tang Dynasty
History of the Later Tang Dynasty, is a biographic history of dynasties and one of the "24 dynastic histories" compiled by Ouyang Xiu, et. al. in the Northern Song Dynasty and finished in the 5th year of Jiayou (1060) with 225 volumes totally. It records a history of about 290 years of the Tang Dynasty, with the records on many kinds of calendars such as Jiazi Calendar and Dayan Calendar. It is precious data to study Chinese history and one of the basic books to study Chang’an in the Tang Dynasty.
