山頂洞人
山頂洞人屬晚期智人，生活在距今約2.7萬(wàn)年至3.4萬(wàn)年之間，因1930年在北京市周口店龍骨山北京人遺址頂部的山頂洞內(nèi)發(fā)現(xiàn)這種晚期人類的化石而得名。從出土的石器、骨角器、魚類化石、埋葬和穿孔飾物推斷，山頂洞人已具備高級(jí)智能。他們生活的時(shí)代已經(jīng)進(jìn)入了母系氏族公社的時(shí)期，已經(jīng)掌握了磨光、鉆孔、用赤鐵礦染色和捕魚等技術(shù)。

Upper Cave Man
The Upper Cave Man, a kind of later intelligent human, lived between 27,000 years and 34,000 years ago. It got this name since the fossils of such late human species were discovered in a cave of the mountain above the ruins where Peking Man was discovered in the Longgu Mountain, Zhoukoudian, Beijing in 1930. Inferred from the unearthed stoneware, horn objects, fish fossils, burial and piercing jewelry, the upper cave men are characterized by high intelligence. They lived in the period of matrilineal commune, and commanded the technologies of polishing, boring, colouring with hematite and fishing.
