《玉茗堂四夢(mèng)》
《玉茗堂四夢(mèng)》又稱《臨川四夢(mèng)》，是明代劇作家湯顯祖所著四種傳奇劇本的合稱，即《邯鄲記》、《還魂記》(即《牡丹亭》)、《南柯記》和《紫釵記》;其中以《邯鄲記》和《牡丹亭》的成就最高。因作者湯顯祖是江西臨川人，所居書(shū)齋名玉茗堂，四劇中都有描寫(xiě)夢(mèng)境的情節(jié)而得名。

The Yu Ming Tang Four Dreams
The Four Dreams of Yu Ming Tang, also known as Lin Chuan's Four Dreams, is the general term for the four legendary scripts created by Tang Xianzu, a Ming dynasty playwright. The scripts included in the collection are Han Dan Record, Huan Hun Record (i.e. Peony Pavilion), Nan Ke Record and Zi Chai Record. Of these, Han Dan Record and Peony Pavilion are the most widely regarded.It is named after Tang’s study, the Yuming Hall.
