It is + time + clause是英語(yǔ)中一個(gè)常用句型，也是高考必須把握的熱點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)，現(xiàn)歸納如下：
一、用在when引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句中， 其功能相當(dāng)于一個(gè)由并列連詞連接的分句
例 It was October the thirty-first when we went to Beijing. =It was October the thirty-first and on that day we went to Beijing.我們是12月31號(hào)去的北京。
二、 用在that引導(dǎo)的強(qiáng)調(diào)句中。注意時(shí)間前介詞的應(yīng)用
例 It was on October the thirty-first that we went to Beijing.就是在12月31號(hào)我們?nèi)サ谋本?BR> It is on Saturday when the meeting will be held. 就是在星期六開會(huì)。
三、用在since引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句中
例 It is two years since he left his hometown. 他離開家已兩年了。
注：如果是延續(xù)動(dòng)詞則表示從這個(gè)動(dòng)作結(jié)束。
例 It is five years since he worked here. 他不在這兒工作已5年了。
四、 用在before引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句中。這是一個(gè)常用句式，常譯成“……以后”
例 It will be five years before we meet again. 五年后我們?cè)僖娒妗?BR> It will be at least three years before he forget about it. 至少3年后他才會(huì)忘記這件事。
五、 和 until連用， 用于強(qiáng)調(diào)表示時(shí)間的名詞和時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)，可用It was not until… that… 句型，意為“直到…… 才…… ”，需注意not的位置
例 It was not until the 1950s that black people were denied the vote in the US.直到20世紀(jì)50年代 美國(guó)黑人才獲得選舉權(quán)。
It was not until his mother came back that the boy stopped crying. 直到媽媽回來，這個(gè)小男孩才不哭了。
六、 It is time +過去式
例 It is （high） time we went to bed.我們?cè)撍X了。
It is time I went to pick up my child. 我該去接孩子了。
