Some people prefer to buy technological devices as soon as possible, while others prefer to wait for a second to buy them. In my opinion, I prefer to wait, because this will have advantages in product quality, reliability and price.
First of all, when a high-tech device comes out, we usually don’t know how its quality is, because the public is unfamiliar with it. Only after some people buy and use it, we could distinguish whether it is good or bad. If we buy products before then, we may purchase low quality products, which will lead to poor experience and waste of money. For example, a company's VR equipment, due to advertising, attracted many customers to rush for the first time; but after the actual use, it was found that the effect was very poor; and as a result, the equipment quickly became unpopular. If these customers chose to wait for the first time, they would find that the VR device was not so good, and turned to purchase better quality products which had been tested by the market.
Second, even if it is a very good technological device, some design problems may not be found, and we will get a defective item if we buy it as soon as it is available to the public. However, if we choose to wait for a moment, these problems may have been discovered and solved, and the reliability of the products will be guaranteed. For example, when iPhone4 has just come out, for design reasons, there were occasional failures of calling by no signals, and the users were complaining about it. The Apple Corp later amended the problem by improving its design. If we purchased iPhone as soon as it came out, we can only get a mobile phone with a problem; and when it came out for a while, the problem is repaired and we could have a very reliable iPhone.
And last, when technological products have just been launched, the price will usually be the highest. After a certain time, in order to promote, the price tend to reduce; devices could be much cheaper if we choose to wait. We may take iPhone4 as an example again. When it was just released, it sold for 649,andafterayear,thepricedroppedto649,andafterayear,thepricedroppedto499. If we purchased at this time, we can save a lot.
In conclusion, we could purchase higher quality, more reliable, and cheaper products if we choose to wait, so I prefer to wait for a while instead of buying these technological devices as soon as they are available to the public.
