Eligibility Requirements
Applicants who meet one or more of the following requirements may apply to the PEARL programme.
(1) Those who, by 21 September, 2017, have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years of formal education in Japanese schools accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
(2) Those who have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years or more of formal education in foreign schools outside Japan by 21 September, 2017.
(3) Those who, by 21 September, 2017, have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years or more of formal education at schools for international students in Japan accredited by an international accrediting organization (WASC, CIS, or ACSI), or foreign schools in Japan accredited by MEXT to be equivalent to a high school outside of Japan, and will be 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.
(4) Those who have passed an examination demonstrating academic ability equivalent to 12 years of formal education, such as the GED (General Educational Development) test or another high school equivalency exam (Upper Secondary School Equivalency Examination ), and will be 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.
(5) Those who have been recognised individually by Keio University as having qualifications equivalent to (1), (2), (3), or (4) above, and will be 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.

5.被慶應(yīng)義塾大學(xué)認(rèn)定為具有等同于上述4條要求的資格證書的并且在注冊(cè)慶應(yīng)義塾大學(xué)之前年滿18周歲的學(xué)生。
* If an applicant has completed a 12-year (or more) school curriculum in less than 12 years because of appropriate reasons (e.g., skipping grades or early graduation), he/she will be regarded as having met the above requirements. In order to prove his/her eligibility, the applicant is required to submit an official document issued from his/her school explaining the reason(s) for the early completion, the details such as the skipped grade(s), and the dates that apply.
* If you wish to apply through requirement (5), you should contact the Admissions Center at least one month before the start of the application period in order to confirm the details, such as required documents and the application period for individual screening. Keio University will then determine whether you are eligible to apply under item (5).

Note:
?Applicants who are not successful in one application period can re-apply during the subsequent application periods.
?Applying for the PEARL programme does not affect an individual's eligibility status to apply for other entry exams (General Entrance Examination , Admissions for Returnee Students，and Admissions for International Students) offered by the Faculty of Economics.
?Individuals who have applied for other entry exams (General Entrance Examination，Admissions for Returnee Students，and Admissions for International Students) offered by the Faculty of Economics can still apply to the PEARL programme provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
備注：
1.第一階段沒(méi)有申請(qǐng)成功的學(xué)生可以申請(qǐng)后面階段。
2.申請(qǐng)珍珠項(xiàng)目不影響學(xué)生申請(qǐng)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院提供的其他入學(xué)考試，比如一般入學(xué)考試、海歸學(xué)生入學(xué)考試、國(guó)際學(xué)生入學(xué)考試。

1. Qualification of Applicants
Applicants are required to fulfill both of the following I. and II. in order to apply for the GIGA program:

I. Applicants must fulfill all of the requirements described in sections a) and b) below:
a) Those who have spent at least two of the last three years of secondary education in a high school operated under a non-Japanese educational system.
b) Those who are eligible for admission into a university in accordance with the school education system of their native country.
I.申請(qǐng)人必須符合下列兩項(xiàng)描述：
a)過(guò)去三年里至少有兩年在非日本教育體制下的高中接受教育;
b) 根據(jù)自己國(guó)家的學(xué)校教育制度，有資格進(jìn)入大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。
II. Applicants must have an academic background equivalent to ONE of the following educational criteria at the time of application to Keio University:
(1) Those who have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years or more of formal education in foreign schools outside Japan by September 21, 2017.*1
(2) Those who, by September 21, 2017, have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years or more of formal education at schools for international students in Japan accredited by an international accrediting organization (WASC, CIS, or ACSI), or foreign schools in Japan accredited by MEXT to be equivalent to a high school outside Japan, and will reach 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.
(3) Those who have passed an examination demonstrating academic ability equivalent to 12 years of formal education, such as the GED (General Educational Development) test or another high school equivalency exam , and will reach 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.
(4) Those who have obtained an International Baccalaureate, Abitur or Baccalaureate Diploma, and will reach 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.
(5) Those who, by September 21, 2017, have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years of formal education in Japanese schools accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) , and will reach 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.
(6) Those who have been recognized individually by Keio University as having qualifications equivalent to (1), (2), (3), (4), or (5) above, and will reach 18 years of age before the enrollment date at Keio University.*2
II.申請(qǐng)人在申請(qǐng)慶應(yīng)義塾大學(xué)的時(shí)候，必須有等同于下列任意教育標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的學(xué)業(yè)背景：

6.被慶應(yīng)義塾大學(xué)認(rèn)可為具備等同于上述5項(xiàng)要求及以上的資格證書，并且在注冊(cè)慶應(yīng)義塾大學(xué)之前將年滿18周歲。
Notice:
Those who have completed, or are expected to complete three years of study in a High School as defined by Article 1 of the School Education Law in Japan, herein referred to as a Japanese High School, are not eligible to apply for Admissions for Overseas Students (GIGA Program). However, Japanese High School graduates who have obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma, or are expected to obtain one before admission may be recognized as eligible to apply for Admissions for Overseas Students (GIGA Program) on an individual basis. In such cases, please check Qualification of Applicants II.(6) and contact the admissions office.
