All full time Undergraduate applications to Lancaster University should be made via the UCAS website using UCAS Apply and Track. The application form requires you to enter your personal details, educational details including previous and current qualifications being studied, an academic reference, referee details and a personal statement. The UCAS website provides helpful tips and videos which explain in detail information required for each section of the application form.
If you are applying directly from school or college, there should be a member of staff who can advise and guide you through the process.

Application deadlines
Completed applications, including a reference, should be submitted to UCAS by the 15th January 2017 with the exception of our Medicine degree where the deadline is 15th October 2016.

The final deadline is 30th June however you should note that some of our courses may have closed after the initial 15th January deadline so please check first. Applications received by UCAS after 30 June will automatically go into Clearing.
If you are interested in part time study at Lancaster University please contact the Admissions Office directly. Please note not all our courses are able to offer part time study and all teaching will be between the hours of 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday.

Lancaster University application process
After we receive your application from UCAS our Admissions Team aim for decisions to be made within three weeks of receiving the application, but for some courses the timescale will be longer, particularly if there are other factors in the decision making process eg an interview, portfolio assessment or similar.
Please also bear in mind that applications submitted just before holiday periods (eg Christmas) will take longer to process.

For any illness or mitigating circumstances that has affected your performance during your studies please ensure you or your school/college have contacted the exam board to make them aware as soon as possible so it can be taken account in your marks.

If you have submitted your UCAS application but issues have occurred during your sixth form studies which you would like to be taken into account when your application is being reviewed, please contact the Admissions Office. Please give your name, UCAS personal ID and a brief description of the illness, personal issue etc. We will then contact you if we require further information or medical evidence.

Making a course change
If you wish to make any changes to your application such as change the course you applied to please contact our Admissions Office who will ask an Admissions Officer to review your application. Please give your name, UCAS personal ID and a make it clear which course you wish to change from and change to. If the change is allowed, we will inform UCAS and the updated course choice will appear on UCAS Track.

Deferring your place
If you wish to defer your place to the following entry year please contact our Admissions Office who will who will ask an Admissions Officer to review your application. Please give your name, UCAS personal ID and a it clear which entry year you wish to change to. If the change is allowed, we will inform UCAS and the updated deferred entry will appear on UCAS Track.
3.延期入學(xué)

Previously submitted applications
If you applied in a previous year and want to re-apply in the current cycle, you will need to start a new UCAS application. It's not possible to transfer your old application across to a new cycle.

Making a part time application
If you are interested in part time study at Lancaster University please contact the Admissions Office directly. Please note not all our courses are able to offer part time study and all teaching will be between the hours of 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday.

Returning to study
We accept applications from applicants who are returning to study. Applicants should submit an application through UCAS. Please be aware that Lancaster University requires applicants to have met our academic requirements not just have professional experience in the area of interest.

Transferring to Lancaster University
For some of our degrees we will consider applicants for direct entry to Year 2. Please bear in mind that: a) we would want to check that your pre-degree qualifications (eg A levels) would have met our entry requirements into the first year; b) we typically ask for upper second class honours marks in the first year at your current university; and c) we would require a reference from one of your current tutors. Application should be made via UCAS in the usual way.
Please note Lancaster University does not permit entry into Year 3 (or 4) of any degree programme.
