GRE簡介
GRE由美國教育考試服務(wù)處(Educational Testing Service，簡稱ETS)主辦，是美加大學(xué)各類研究生院(除管理類學(xué)院，法學(xué)院)要求申請者所必須具備的一個(gè)考試成績，也是教授對申請者是否授予獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金所依據(jù)的最重要的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。教育部考試中心負(fù)責(zé)中國歸口管理和承辦GRE等國外考試。
GRE考試分兩種:一是一般能力或稱傾向性測驗(yàn)(General Test或Aptitude Test),二是專業(yè)測驗(yàn)或稱高級測驗(yàn)(Subject Test或Advanced Test)。
一般能力考試為雙模式考試，即邏輯作文考試為計(jì)算機(jī)化考試，語文和數(shù)學(xué)部分為紙筆考試。一般能力考試主要是考察應(yīng)試人的基本英語能力以及對英文方面知識所涉及的廣度和深度。它包括三部分：第一部分為分析性寫作部分(Analytical Writing)，包括兩個(gè)任務(wù)，分別要求應(yīng)試者對一個(gè)問題發(fā)表個(gè)人的觀點(diǎn)(Issue Task)和分析一個(gè)論點(diǎn)(Argument Task)。分析性寫作部分的機(jī)考時(shí)間總共是兩小時(shí);第二部分為詞匯(Verbal)部分。該部分內(nèi)容很廣泛，涉及天文、地理、人文、科學(xué)、藝術(shù)、政治及歷史等領(lǐng)域;第三部分為數(shù)學(xué)(Quantitative)部分。該部分皆為數(shù)理上的基本問題，包括幾何、代數(shù)、統(tǒng)計(jì)圖表、智力測驗(yàn)等方面，主要目的在于測驗(yàn)考生基本數(shù)學(xué)的潛在能力和對數(shù)理方面問題的理解判斷及推理反應(yīng)能力。題目難易、深淺程度，有時(shí)取決于考生對于題目敘述與說明的理解。
美國哪些專業(yè)不用考gre
GRE考試一般針對美國理工科和一些文科專業(yè)，并不是所有專業(yè)都要求有GRE成績，如英語教學(xué)專業(yè)(TESOL)，還有很多大學(xué)只要求申請人提供托福成績。某些大學(xué)的一些交叉學(xué)科，如工程管理、圖書館信息系統(tǒng)等專業(yè)也不需要GRE成績。所以，如果考生選擇這類專業(yè)完全可以避開費(fèi)時(shí)費(fèi)力的GRE考試。

GRE Score for Visa Interview
Even though at few schools where GRE is not required, but during student visa interview, visa officer might ask for GRE score. So, its strongly advisable to take GRE and TOEFL exam. Most of the comments Happy Schools Blog get is about university suggestions. And I always suggest to get GRE Score above 1000 for some departments and and 1100 for most of engineering majors.

途徑三：碩士雙錄取的大學(xué)讓你輕松獲得美國學(xué)位
留學(xué)專家介紹，在美國，提供碩士學(xué)位的近1000所大學(xué)中有很多提供碩士雙錄取的大學(xué)。所謂碩士雙錄取是指在申請時(shí)如果托?；騁RE沒有達(dá)到要求，則可以提前錄取，學(xué)生到校后先到語言中心就讀，通過語言后再進(jìn)入碩士課程的學(xué)習(xí)。這種方式的好處在于不用像在國內(nèi)一樣花太多時(shí)間準(zhǔn)備，可以在學(xué)習(xí)語言期間備考GRE，且報(bào)名容易，時(shí)間花費(fèi)少，報(bào)考機(jī)會更多。
GRE考試在美國是計(jì)算機(jī)考試方式，考試時(shí)間和考位都比國內(nèi)更容易安排。比如南佛羅里達(dá)大學(xué)提供機(jī)械工程、綜合工程學(xué)、電氣工程、化學(xué)工程、生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程、化學(xué)工程、土木和環(huán)境工程、計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)工程、工程管理等近10個(gè)碩士專業(yè)的雙錄取，學(xué)生入校后強(qiáng)化語言的同時(shí)還可以學(xué)習(xí)一些基礎(chǔ)課程，只要在5月1日之前取得GRE成績，則可進(jìn)入當(dāng)年9月的秋季研究生課程。
