    寫(xiě)作題目:運(yùn)動(dòng)員和演員
There are many famous entertainers and athletes who make millions of dollars every year. Some people believe that they deserve such high salaries while others disagree. Do famous athletes and entertainers deserve high salaries?
寫(xiě)作范文Famous Entertainers and Athletes Deserve Their High Salaries
Many people hold that the majority of famous entertainers and athletes are overpaid and undeserving. As far as I am concerned, those people deserve their high salaries.
Firstly, famous entertainers and athletes have to make painstaking efforts, Let's take athletes as an example. Athletes are constantly having time-consuming training. They not only play games, but also train in the off-season and during the season. They have to give up time with their family to travel. Besides they also have to sacrifice their privacy. Famous people must undergo the intense scrutiny of the media, television and newspapers. This is a difficult lifestyle to lead, as one must constantly be careful of what he says or does in public. Another factor to consider is the risk of injury. Houston Rockets' star centre Yao Ming suffered from knee and leg injuries before he managed to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympics. And there are too many similar cases. Secondly, athletes and entertainers are the source of inspiration and motivation to excel in life for youngsters. They set an example for children and young people, so they can get impetus on how to work, how to set high goals and how to cope when one fails. Young people can develop confidence and positive attitudes towards their lives by taking inspiration from athletes' and entertainers lives.
In conclusion, famous entertainers and athletes earn money through their uncommon efforts and they provide inspiration for children as well as youngsters. Therefore, they deserve high salaries. (248 words)

    寫(xiě)作題目:能源危機(jī)
The global financial crisis hit the world in 2008. Many countries, especially America and European countries got into a terribly gigantic financial mess. With energy prices such as oil going up and down dramatically, a new round of international meetings concerning the promotion of renewable energy was kicked off. American President Obama even made plans to spend billions of dollars on renewable energy. Do you think renewable energy is a feasible way to solve the energy problem?
寫(xiě)作范文Renewable Energy Is the Way to Go
With the skyrocketing demand of oil, coal and natural gas, we are confronted with an energy crisis since energy resources such as gas and oil are fast diminishing this century, One remedy fo a this problem is the implementation of a renewable energy policy. As far as I am concerned, renewable energy can serve as an effective way of solving the energy crisis.
Firstly, renewable energy has unlimited availability. Traditional energy resources, such as coal, oil and natural gas are non-renewable, which means that the world will eventually run out of them, constituting the main threat to energy resources. However, generated from natural resources-such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat, renewable energy is continuously being replenished by nature on a time scale appropriate to human use. Furthermore, with advancing technologies, renewable energy will be able to supply a significant proportion of the world's energy needs, making it possible to overcome the energy crisis. Secondly, renewable energy has many immediate environmental benefits. The use of fossil fuels-coal, oil and natural gas has affected the environment by polluting the air and water, creating toxic wastes, and causing global warming. However, renewable energy resources are clean. Their use can avoid these negative environmental impacts and risks, and moreover, it can help conserve fossil resources for generations to come.
Concerning the two main advantages of renewable energy, I personally hold that they are a feasible way to solve the energy problem. (240 words)

    題目:考試是好還是壞?
When we entered primary school, we started to work hard in the hope of passing the examinations. There is no doubt that examinations have become part of students' lives. As it is so important for us, we have to take a correct attitude towards examinations. So, are examinations harmful or useful?
    寫(xiě)作范文:Exams Are Useful
There has been a heated debate over the pros and cons of exams. On balance, I hold the contention that exams are useful rather than harmful.
Granted, the ultimate purpose of any education is to disseminate knowledge rather than pass exams. An undue emphasis on the importance of exams may serve to undermine this purpose. If students only cram for tests 0ne or two weeks before the exams without really learning anything, such an education undoubtedly fails to fulfill its function. On the other hand, it is undeniable that exams are a useful device to gauge students' academic performance, It may not reflect exactly how well a pupil has grasped a subject; however, it provides some information which also guides further study. Additionally, since exams have been employed to distinguish excellence from the mediocrity, it motivates students to reach for their potentials as well. After all, we live in a competitive world; and it is obligatory for schools to impart a sense of competition to pupils.
In the final analysis, the merits of the exam system outweigh its demerits. Nevertheless, students should not study merely for the sake of passing exams. Instead, they should make acquiring knowledge the ultimate goal of study. (202 words)

    寫(xiě)作題目:電腦還是書(shū)?
Your university has enough money to purchase either computers for students or books for the library. Which should your university choose to buy-computers or books? What is your recommendation?
寫(xiě)作范文:Computers Are More Important Than Books
From my standpoint, I would vote for the purchase of computers instead of books for the following reasons.
First, in order to keep abreast of the digital era, every university should be equipped with an adequate number of computers. Students should also be taught the basics of computer science so that they will not lag behind. The importance of computer skills is evidenced by the fact that most companies require their prospective employees to be proficient in commonly used software, such as Microsoft Office. Secondly, the creation of e-books has rendered traditional books obsolete at least to some extent. Students can download even audio books via the Internet and the rich variety ensures that each individual can procure what he or she desires. Lastly, it is unrealistic to keep the university library up to date owing to the rapid development of modern society. Therefore, the university should allocate its limited financial resources to purchase computers which enable students to keep up with the latest development via the aid of the Internet.
All in all, admittedly, one should not belittle the importance of books. After all, books have been employed as a major means to disseminate knowledge. Nonetheless, the inexorable trend of computerisation in the 21st century renders it imperative for universities to be equipped with computers as well as other multimedia devices. (221 words)

More and more young people are deciding to further their education by studying abroad. Would you like to go abroad for study after your college education or would you rather study here?
寫(xiě)作范文:I Would Do a Postgraduate Degree Abroad
Nowadays, more and more university students have chosen to study abroad for postgraduate degrees. Personally, I believe that studying in a foreign country is beneficial for students' future.
First, the experience of living and studying in a different culture can give students a new perspective to reach a more informed judgment, It is undeniable that students are at a disadvantage when their mind is restrained by one single particular culture; this is more so in the era of globalization when international collaboration is becoming increasingly crucial. Second, by studying in a developed country students can acquire some state-of-the-art technology or theories which are not currently available in China. Also, a cosmopolitan mindset which can actively absorb new elements is undoubtedly advantageous to students' development, Third, the proverbial "broaden one's horizons also vindicates' the value of studying abroad. It helps new graduates to cooperate with people from various nations and promotes understanding between disparate cultures, Fourth, obtaining a degree from a credible foreign university often makes job hunting much easier and students also will have more choices. Last, studying abroad often requires students to be fluent in a foreign language; and this gives them a good incentive to apply themselves to a new language.
In conclusion, studying abroad grants students a valuable life-enriching experience, a new world mindset and the opportunity to mix and cooperate with and understand people of different cultures and races. (233 words)

    題目:為大公司還是小公司工作?
Some people prefer to work for a large company while others prefer to work for a small company. What is your view?
    寫(xiě)作范文:Choose a Big Company
Whether a small or a big company is better should be judged on a case-to-case basis. Generally speaking, I would like to take up a job in a big company.
To begin with, big corporations are more reputable and prestigious than small ones. Therefore, it is easier to acquire a credible recommendation letter if one ever decides to seek other employment and get on the career ladder. In addition, big companies often provide satisfactory welfare benefits along with other perks whereas small enterprises may not always duly value their employees. Furthermore, the in-house training operated by big corporations benefits students not for the current job but also has a longlasting impact on their future career. In addition, renowned companies, especially international ones, are more likely to offer employees the opportunity to work in different places. Also, the options presented by small enterprises are often quite limited. Last but not least, small companies usually lack an efficient infrastructure and this may create many obstacles for new graduates who are not well experienced. Also, their brand value can hardly compete with well-known big companies.
In summary, albeit that the competition is irrefutably fiercer for the positions offered by big companies, the aforementioned merits render a big company a better choice.(208 words)
