霜降簡介
“Hoar-Frost Falls” usually happens on October 23 or October 24 each year when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 210 degrees.
霜降發(fā)生在每年10月23日或10月24日,這個時候太陽到達天文經(jīng)度210°。
In many areas in China, people eat persimmon at this time. As an old saying goes, “Eat persimmon. No running noses.”

Apples can moisten the lungs, quench one’s thirst and help one's digestion.

Eating chestnuts during Frost's Descent is beneficial for one's health. Chestnuts have a warm nature and sweet flavor, and are good for nourishing the spleen and stomach, invigorating the circulation of blood, relieving coughs and reducing sputum.

Eating dates 吃棗
The date is one of the fruits on the market during Frost's Descent. Nutritious with a great number of vitamins, dates can nourish the blood, decrease blood pressure, and improve one's immunity. But eating too many could be harmful. Rotten dates can cause headaches and dizziness or even put people's lives in danger.

Literally, it refers to the time when frost starts to descend across China, or “the dews were congealed into frost” due to the coldness, as recorded in ancient Chinese books.
字面上來說,霜降指的是中國開始下霜的日子,據(jù)古籍記載,“氣肅而凝,露結(jié)為霜矣”即天氣逐漸變冷,露水凝結(jié)成霜。
By the time of Shuangjiang, most of the harvesting work is already completed in northern China. Even the most cold-resistant crops can no longer grow. Large swaths of the fields in the north are done for the season, and farmers are now able to enjoy a period of rest.
霜降時,中國北方大部分的秋收工作已經(jīng)掃尾,即使是最耐寒的農(nóng)作物也不能生長。秋收農(nóng)忙已經(jīng)結(jié)束,農(nóng)民們可以休息一段時間了。

4月5日前后
此時氣候清爽溫暖,草木始發(fā)新枝芽,萬物開始生長,農(nóng)民忙于春耕春種。在清明節(jié)這一天,人們到郊外踏青,祭掃墳?zāi)?,這是古老的習(xí)俗。

稻谷成穗是為『芒種』,芒作物開始成熟。
夏至(the Summer Solstice)
6月21日或22日
此時北半球受光最多、畫長夜短、日影最短、陽氣最盛。
小暑(Slight Heat)
7月7日或8日
天氣開始逐漸炎熱、暑是炎熱之意、象征節(jié)氣中氣候之炎熱開始。
大暑(Great Heat)
7月22日或23日
氣候酷熱達到峰、夏天的氣溫到這時已熱到極點故為大暑。
立秋(the Beginning of Autumn)
8月8日前后
秋季開始是為立秋。大暑過后夏去秋來、秋季開始涼爽舒適。
處暑(the Limit of Heat)
8月23日前后
處是住的意思,表示暑氣漸將消除、正當(dāng)臺風(fēng)頻繁季節(jié)帶來豪雨。
白露(White Dew)
9月7日或8日
夜間水氣凝結(jié)成露、一顆顆的水珠所以把這節(jié)氣稱作白露。
秋分(the Autumnal Equinox)
9月23日前后
秋季過了一半,南北半球受光相等畫夜平分、故謂秋分。
寒露(Cold Dew)
10月8日前后
夜寒水氣漸凝結(jié)成露,天氣更涼、接觸到露水寒意沁心,是為寒露。
霜降(Frost′s descent)
10月23日或24日
此時因太陽偏向南半球、天氣寒冷,開始露結(jié)為霜,稱霜降。
立冬(the Beginning of Winter)
11月7日或8日
冬季開始,秋去冬來、習(xí)俗以此時進補、歷經(jīng)寒暑以進補來恢復(fù)元氣。
小雪(Slight Snow)
11月22日或23日
寒冷逐漸下雪、空氣中的水氣開始結(jié)成雪、初下雪量不大稱小雪。
大雪(Great Snow)
12月7日或8日
小雪過后天氣變得更冷,大雪紛飛,雪到此時轉(zhuǎn)大故名大雪。
冬至(the Winter Solstice)
12月22日前后
晝短夜最長,中午太陽位置最低。習(xí)俗在冬至吃餃子。
小寒(Slight Cold)
1月5日或6日
冬至過后天氣更為寒冷,在冬至過后所出現(xiàn)的節(jié)氣叫小寒。
大寒(Great Cold)
1月20日前后
一年中最冷的時日、代表著一年即將要結(jié)束,就要過農(nóng)歷新年。
