Is it Waste to Hold Grand Ceremonies?
To hold grand opening and closing ceremonies for some activities is the tradition for China for a long time. With the improvement of people’s living standard, the scale of the ceremonies has become greater and greater. Some people begin to argue that it is a great waste. But some still insist its positive effect. As far as I am concerned, both of them are reasonable.
On the one hand, holding grand ceremonies is really a waste for some activities. When holding an activity, such as Olympic Games, the essence of it is the process and spirit of the competition, instead of the opening or closing ceremony. It needs a lot of money and people to open such grand ceremony successfully. Besides, during the ceremony, it is not possible to avoid polluting the environment. Thus, the follow-on work after the ceremony also needs a lot of resources to deal with. On the other hand, there are many positive effects of ceremony. As holding grand ceremony has been popular for a long time, it must have its reason. The greater the ceremony is, the more attention will be paid on it. In addition, a grand ceremony is able to encourage the participants, making the activity more interesting. Besides, it is a good way to spread the spirit of the activity. To sum up, holding grand ceremonies has positive and negative side. What we need to do is to make it perfect. Such as, how to reach the same effect with less pay. It is necessary to hold ceremony, but we don’t need to make it at the cost of cutting people’s benefit.
The Coming of The World Cup
Recently, the World Cup is coming, this is an excited moment for the football fans. The whole media are waiting for the reporting, because of the long four years’ waiting. Men are so happy to see the extraordinary games, while women are not interested in it at all. This is the common problem in a family, at that time, the TV program always intrigues argument, how to solve this problem?
For most women, they are not interested in football, they think it is so boring, many players chasing a football; it takes so much time for them to get a goal. They will choose to watch TV drama. But when the World Cup comes, women should learn to understand their husbands, the game comes four-year a time, and men’s love for football is like women’s love for the TV drama. So they should not interfere their husbands to watch the game, giving them freedom to watch it. For men, when they watch the games, they can’t help yelling, so it is not suitable to watch the game at home, they should ask their friends out and watch the game in a hotel or go to the bar. These places are allowing shouting. When both women and men reach the agreement, they will understand each other, so the family will be harmonious.
    【篇三】父親節(jié) Father's Day
The first father's day was in June, 5th, 1910, United Stated. In 1909, a lady called Bruce Dodd put forward that people should establish father’s day. At that time, people only celebrated the mother's day, but nobody celebrate father's day yet. Lady Dodd had lost her mother when she was very young, her father raised her grew up. Lady Dodd was so thankful for what her father had done for her that she wrote a letter to the government. In the letter, she appeals to establish the father's day. The government accepted her suggestion and decided that the third Sunday of June is the national father’s day. In 1972, the president Nixon had passed the law and agreed that the father’s day is on June the third Sunday. From this year, the world started to celebrate father’s day.
On this special day, the children usually dedicate flowers to their fathers. The red roses to those who still alive, while the white ones to the fallings. Fathers always are considered being the central of the whole family. Without father in the family, home may feel insecure. The father always fights for the family and support the family. On this day, we can do something for our fathers. For instance, we can make a breakfast for them, or buy them a nice tie. We should spend more time with our father, show our love to them. The father’s day is coming, take this chance, and tell our fathers that we love him. Happy father’s day!
