(1) 表示“大約”不單只有about和around
還可以用：some, approximately, roughly, more or less, in the neighborhood of, in the rough等等這些詞都可以表示大約、左右、上下、大概的意思。
e.g. 1.六十人左右：about/ approximately/ more or less sixty people.
2.一百塊左右：around/some/n the neighborhood of one hundred
one hundred in the rough
（2）那么“差不多”和大約有什么不一樣？
在漢語中，“差不多”是表示“少于”的一種特殊方法，相當(dāng)于：幾乎、將近（有沒有達(dá)到或者超過）的意思。而在英語中，在數(shù)字前加上nearly, almost, toward, close on就可以有差不多的意思了。
e.g.1. 快七點(diǎn)了nearly/ almost seven o’clock
2.將近六十歲 toward/nearly sixty years old
（3）在漢語中“少于”也有另外的意思：小于、不到、不及、不足，從語意上和上面的“差不多”是有區(qū)別的。
那么我們可以用fewer than, less than, below, within.
e.g. 一千元以下： within/less then one thousand yuan
(4)和“少于”相反的“多于”了？
可以在數(shù)字前加：more than, over, above, upwards of, 或者是數(shù)字后加：and more, odd, and odd.
e.g. 一百多元：over one hundred yuan/ one hundred yuan and more
(5)表示相鄰的數(shù)字“三三兩兩”，你敢用three three two two？
可以用or, or more, and來連接起來
e.g. 1.兩三個(gè)：two or three
2.三四千：three thousand or four thousand
3.三三兩兩：by twos and threes
4.十個(gè)以上：ten or more
（6）表示比較大的“數(shù)十、數(shù)百、數(shù)千”？
可以用：tens of, dozens of, scores of, hundreds of, thousands of, millions of.
e.g.1.數(shù)以萬計(jì)：tens of thousands of
2.好幾十萬：hundreds of thousands of
3.成百上千：thousands of/ tens of thousands of
4.千千萬萬：thousands of/ tens of thousands of
其實(shí)，如果真的表示很多很多的話“tens of thousands of”就可以作代表了。
