Is it a Waste to Have Museum?
Every country has a lot of museums filling of great cultural heritage. Some people are beneficial from it, but it costs lots of money at the same time. And now we are living in a world that calls for thrift. So some people regard opening museum as a waste of money. They don’t want to give hands for supporting museum. However, there are another part of people stand on the side of museum, including me. My reasons are as follow.
First of all, museum is a good way to help people know more about the history. Every museum will try its best to collect as much historical things as possible, which are full of cultural value. When people are visiting museums, they will have the chance to see the historical resources. Maybe those resources are far away from their life, but they can have a general knowledge about them, instead of knowing nothing. Can you find another good way to replace museum to reach the goal? The answer is no.
In addition, museum is helpful for new progress. We all know that our world is a union not isolation. If we want any progress, we had better start on the base of the past generation wisdom. We can get a lot of benefit from the resources in museum. Without them, we couldn’t walk so far or so long.
Museum is a valuable resource for our human beings. It is a gift for us. It is worth spending money on it. How could it be a waste?
To Spend the “Golden Week” On The Road
The 7-days-long holiday is entitled “Golden Week” by the Chinese government to celebrate the most important festival in China: The Spring Festival. The past decade has witnessed private cars from luxuries to common equipment, as well as the Chinese people celebrate Spring Festival from traditional ways to modern ones. Nowadays, more and more people choose to celebrate the Spring Festival Golden Week to travel by driving their own cars with families.
From my personal angle alone, driving your own car is a worthwhile way to try when you decide to travel. Why?
The initial reason lies in that driving your own car is liberal. Compared with joining a travel agency, driving makes your touring time more flexible. Imaging, when you are driving along the national roads, the setting sun paints the trees, remote mountains with a golden glory, you could stop the car whenever you want and enjoy the scene. However, if you are a member of a travel group, your schedule is beyond your decision.
Another reason I suggest self-driving tourism is that it enhances the family bonds, emotionally. On the road, only family members are in the car, they could exchange more private thoughts with each other, they could make jokes which only involving family members, they could hug and kiss without any hesitating. Obviously, the emotional connections would become closer because of words and contact during this tour.
Therefore, let’ s take our families and try to spend the “Golden Week” on the road!
The Bucket List
My favourite movie isThe Bucket List. When two complete strangers (Carter and Edward) became roommates in the hospital’s ICU,what they were going to do in their last couple of months? Carter made a bucket list that including his wishes such as: witness something really magnificent, help complete stranger on the good, laugh until I cry, but Edward thought his wishes were too weak, and then he added something like “kiss the most beautiful girl in the world, goskydiving, and get a tattoo. After that, both of them tried to complete their wishes together before they die. At last, Carter and Edward both knew what the life was all about---to bring joy to others.
When they traveled to Egypt, Carter told Edward that before people’s souls entry the heaven, thedivinities would ask them two questions: Have you find joy in your life and have you life brought joy to others? Edward can barely answer these questions. However, when Carter died, he realized that he had brought joy to others lives just like Carter did. In the end of the movie, these two good friends lay on the top of the world where they can witness something really magnificent. It’s a happy ending.
The film tries to convey a theme that finds the joy in your life. Say what you need to say. When you die, your eyes were closed, but your heart was widely opened.
