(一)make conversation
該短語表示“閑聊”。如：
It can be very difficult to make conversation at a party. (在聚會時有時很難找話題跟人應(yīng)酬。)
(二)make the bed
該短語表示“整理床鋪”，有時bed也可以用復(fù)數(shù)，即make the beds。此外，定冠詞the也可以去掉。如：
The first thing he does after getting up is to make the bed. (他起床后的第一件事就是整理床鋪。)
She often goes downstairs after making the beds. (她經(jīng)常整理好床鋪后就下樓去.)
Can you send up one of your housekeepers to make bed? (請你派個女服務(wù)員來整理床鋪好嗎?)
Make beds and straighten up rooms. (整理床鋪和房間。)

(三)make noise
