四級詞匯講解:
本句的主要句子結(jié)構(gòu)是what引導(dǎo)的主語從句。句中的what I do find interesting作全句的主語;the originof the universe, the shape of space-time and the nature of black holes這三個并列短語為全句的表語。
do的意思是“確實，非?！?，作為助動詞，表示強調(diào)，它可以有時態(tài)的變化。如:
He did came last night，昨晚他確實來了。
英語四級考點歸納:
主語從句的用法。
在句中作主語的從句叫主語從句，它可以直接放在句首作句子的主語，也可以放到句子的后部，前面用it作其形式主語。以上兩種結(jié)構(gòu)基本可以換用。
但是，由what, whoever, whatever引導(dǎo)的主語從句前一般不用形式主語it。如：
※ That he will come here on Tuesday is certain.他周二肯定會來這里。
可以改寫成：It is certain that he will come here on Tuesday.
※ What he told me was true.他告訴我的是真的。
不能說:It was true what he told me.
