Our neighbour, Captain Charles Alison, is not a young man.
In fact, he's seventy years old.
Tomorrow, he will ser off in a small boat across the Atlantic.
He will sail from Portsmouth.
We'll meet him at the harbour early in the morning.
He will be in his small boat, Topsail.
Topsail is a famous little boat.
It has sailed across the Atlantic many times.
Captain Alison will set out at eight o'clock in the evening, so we'll have plenty of time to visit him.
We'll see his boat and then we'll say goodbye to him.
He will be away for two months.

Portugal lies at the western edge of Europe.
Its long west coast is swept by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Its eastern border with Spain is marked by a long line of high mountains.
Southern Portugal is hotter and drier than anywhere else in Europe.
Portugal has no oil, coal or gas of its own.
Until recently, Portugal was the poorest country in Western Europe.
'What can we do?' the people said.
'We shall always be poor.
We have only the sun, the sea, the mountains and the wind.
We can’t sell the wind and the waves!'
They don’t say that now.
In 2004, the Portuguese government decided to invest in clean energy.
Less than five years later, twenty-five per cent of Portugal's energy was clean.
Much of that early result came from small local projects.
At the same time, Portugal was also engaged in some very big engineering projects.
In June 2009, an article in The Economist noted, 'The world's biggest wind farm has been built in the mountains on Portugal’s border with Spain.
The world’s first large wave farm will soon be working at Oporto on the north coast.
At Moura in the hot dry south, Europe’s biggest solar electricity farm is being built.'
'Poor little Portugal’ will soon be the biggest producer of clean energy in Europe.
