Joe Sanders has the most beautiful garden in our town.
Nearly everybody enters for 'The Nicest Garden Competition' each year, but Joe wins every time.
Bill Frith's garden is larger than Joe's.
Bill works harder than Joe and grows more flowers and vegetables, but Joe's garden is more interesting.
He has made neat paths and has built a wooden bridge over a pool.
I like gardens too, but I do not like hard work.
Every year, I enter for the garden competition too,
and I always win a little prize for the worst garden in the town!
We have a special name for a set of church bells.
We call them a 'ring', or a 'circle' of bells.
The sound of bells in England is a bit like a heartbeat: most of the time, you don't really listen to it,
but you notice when it stops.
In recent years, many of the most ancient church bells in England have fallen silent.
Local groups are now working to bring them back.
The world's oldest ring of bells hangs in St.Lawrence's Church in Ipswich.
There are five bells in the set.
They have hung in the church tower for five hundred and sixty years now,
and were once famous for their wonderful sound.
Unfortunately, nobody has heard the bells for nearly a quarter of a century,
because the ancient tower became too weak to support them,
but this week, everybody in the town has been welcoming some good news.
Engineers have begun work at the church at last.
They are making the walls of the church stronger.
After that, they will move the bells to a new place in the tower, eight metres lower than before.
In six months' time, the bells of St. Lawrence will ring out again after their long silence.
