Ⅰ. beat 著重“連續(xù)地?fù)舸颉比鐨蚧蝮w罰，也指在游戲、競(jìng)賽或戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)中擊敗對(duì)方。如：
① Don’t beat the child 不要打孩子。
② In the end their enemies were beaten. 最后他們把敵人打敗了。
③ He beat the world record in high jump. 他打破了跳高世界紀(jì)錄。
Ⅱ. hit 往往與strike通用，但嚴(yán)格地說(shuō)，hit指“打中”或“對(duì)準(zhǔn)……來(lái)打”，著重敲打或打擊對(duì)方的某一點(diǎn)。如：
① The stone hit him on the head. 石頭擊中了他的頭。
② I hit the target. 我擊中了目標(biāo)。
Ⅲ. strike 是很普通的用詞，通常表示“打一下、打若干下”等意思，不一定都是有意的。Strike還可以表示“擦著(火柴)”的意思。如：
① He struck the man on the head. 他(一拳)打在那人的頭上。
② Immediately Holmes jumped up from the bed and struck a match. 福爾摩斯立即從床上跳起來(lái)，劃著一根火柴。
Ⅳ. knock “敲;撞擊;打”常與at/on, down連用。如：
You should knock on/ at the door before coming in the teacher’s office. 你應(yīng)該在進(jìn)老師辦公室時(shí)敲敲門。
