(1)基本類
比較，無非就是兩個東西之間相互比較的結(jié)果。A和B相比，那結(jié)果通常就是以下三種情況：A=B; A>B;AB,A比B多，那就要肯定A. A has more apples than BA的蘋果比B的多;③A

(2)倍數(shù)類
所謂倍數(shù)類，就是表達倍數(shù)的幾類，即倍數(shù)表達法。
①是......倍，可以用N times as much as來表達;
②多......倍，可以用”more than/less than”來表達;
③ 是百分之幾，則可以用N%來表達。倍數(shù)表達法是初高中常學(xué)的內(nèi)容，并非考研英語的重要語法知識，我們在平時的學(xué)習(xí)中了解即可。
(3)特殊類
特殊類，即基本類詞匯的否定。但否定和否定又有所不同，這是考研英語中?？嫉牡胤?，也是大多數(shù)考生，傻傻分不清楚的地方。
①no more than. A no more than B.More than B就是肯定B, no more than B就是否定B，但要注意no是把A,B二者都否定的。所以A no more than 的含義是“AB都不......”
如：Mary is no more diligent than Tom.就意為Mary和Tom都不勤奮。
②no less than. A no less than B, less than B表示比B少，A no less than B表示A不比B少，即 A、B都肯定，和”not any less than”同意，表示“既...又....”的含義。
③not so much ...as... as B, 和B一樣多，not so much A as B，not只否定A, 即A小于B,我們可以將其翻譯為“與其......不如......”，如：
The great use of a school education is not so much to teach you things as to teach you the art of learning.
根據(jù)not so much ...as...的含義，這句話應(yīng)該翻譯成：學(xué)校教育的重大作用，與其說是交給你東西，不如說是交給你學(xué)習(xí)的藝術(shù)。
