The establishment of China’s first soccer college on Sept. 29 may give new hope to Chinese fans upset about their underperforming national team. The new college is affiliated with Chengdu University.
9月29日，成都成立了中國首所足球?qū)W院，這可能會給因為國足的萎靡表現(xiàn)而情緒不佳的球迷們一個新的希望。這座新的足球?qū)W院隸屬于成都大學(xué)。
Xu Ming, president of the college, said that the aims of the new institution include promoting the development of China’s soccer industry, increasing the number of soccer players in China and raising the overall level of China’s soccer ability.
據(jù)足球?qū)W院院長徐明(音)表示，成立這一新機構(gòu)的目的包括要促進(jìn)中國足球產(chǎn)業(yè)的發(fā)展、增加中國足球運動員的數(shù)量、并且提高中國足球能力整體水平。
Graduates of the new program will be granted a bachelor’s degree in soccer. The school will also offer non-degree programs that train soccer instructors for primary and middle schools, as well as soccer tournament referees.
這一新專業(yè)的畢業(yè)生們將會被授予足球?qū)W士學(xué)位。該學(xué)院還將提供非學(xué)位課程，培養(yǎng)中小學(xué)足球教練和足球比賽裁判。
The college plans to recruit 100 freshmen every year, and it will also establish a soccer club to participate in China’s professional league.
該學(xué)院計劃每年招生100人，同時還將成立一個足球俱樂部參加中國職業(yè)聯(lián)賽。
