Czech Republic is to experience a “metamorphosis of national magnitude”. The country’s president, prime minister, head of parliament, foreign minister and defense minister have all agreed to use “Czechia” as country’s one-word alternative name, reported Reuters. But the name must win cabinet approval before it becomes official.
捷克共和國(guó)將經(jīng)歷一次“舉國(guó)之變”。據(jù)路透社報(bào)道，該國(guó)總統(tǒng)、總理、議會(huì)主席、外交部長(zhǎng)和國(guó)防部長(zhǎng)都同意使用Czechia一詞作為國(guó)家簡(jiǎn)稱。但是這個(gè)新名字需要內(nèi)閣表決通過(guò)后才能成為官方名稱。
國(guó)家名可分為地名(geographic name)、官方名稱(official political name)或者簡(jiǎn)稱(short one-word name)。比如英國(guó)的地名是Great Britain， 官方名稱是The United Kingdom of Great Britain, 簡(jiǎn)稱為UK。
